Alliance Testifies at SLA Hearing on % Fees

By NYC Hospitality Alliance

Today, the New York City Hospitality Alliance testified at the State Liquor Authority (“SLA”) hearing in support of a newly proposed advisory.

If adopted, the advisory would clarify the law as to who may take a percentage of revenue from liquor licensed establishments. This would cap third party fees at 10%, unless the person/entity receiving the fee is listed on your liquor license, similar to your partners and investors. Alternatively, the person/entity could charge a flat fee for the service, instead of a percent.
