After nearly four years serving as the first president of the NYC Hospitality Alliance, Jeffrey Bank of The Alicart Restaurant Group has concluded his term. Jeffrey stepped up and was elected President before the organization's official launch in 2012.
Under his leadership, The Alliance grew into a political force representing the NYC hospitality industry's interest in the halls of government. And our organization's membership, benefits, seminars and events have been more effective and grown faster than we could have imagined. We've been fortunate to have him in this leadership role and thank him for his incredible contributions to our Alliance and industry. Jeffrey will remain closely aligned with The Alliance and will serve as President Emeritus.
We are proud to announce that the members of the NYC Hospitality Alliance have elected Doug Griebel of Rosa Mexicano to serve as our incoming president. Doug's industry and association expertise and experience make him a uniquely qualified candidate to take on this leadership role. Doug currently serves as Chairman of the Columbus Avenue Business Improvement District, he is a Director of the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District, former member of Community Board 7 and past president of the NYC Chapter of the State Restaurant Association. Doug was also a leading organizer in the grassroots effort to create the NYC Hospitality Alliance. He is uniquely positioned to be our organization's President and to lead The Alliance through our next stage of organizational growth.
The New York City Hospitality Alliance thanks Jeff and Doug for their service to our industry.
