Catered Event Rules in the Time of COVID-19

By NYC Hospitality Alliance

See below for a message from New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene

Beginning Monday, March 15, 2021, the maximum size of in-person and catered private events will increase from 50 to 150 or to no more than 50% of maximum capacity, whichever number is smaller. However, this change does not apply to gatherings or events held in COVID-19 red, orange and yellow zones designated by New York State (NYS).
A venue operator hosting a private event with more than 50 people must notify the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) at least five days before the event by submitting this form. The venue operator must also comply with all NYS requirements. Please note there are sometimes separate requirements for NYC businesses. Keep up to date with requirements by visiting the NY Forward website regularly.
