See below for an important letter from the NYC Census:
In addition, if we don't achieve a complete count, NYC could lose up to two congressional seats. As the epicenter of this pandemic, New York City is facing an even greater challenge in achieving a complete count in the 2020 Census. Currently, only 52.5% of New Yorkers have completed the census, compared to 61.6% of the nation.
Take 5 minutes right now to fill out the census at www.my2020census.gov. You do not need to be at home and you do not need a "census ID" to do this. If you have roommates or had roommates that lived with you at the time make sure to add them too, and it is okay to leave some specific information blank if you're not sure. Your information is safe and protected by law so it can not be shared with anyone and there is NO citizenship question.
If you have already completed the census, make sure to post about the census on your social media. "On the Front Lines" graphics can be found here and a Black Lives Count social media toolkit can be found here. Also, forward this email to family or friends and ask them to get counted. Now more than ever, we cannot afford to lose the funding and representation that is rightfully ours. Thank you in advance for helping us mobilize our city towards a complete count, and please
continue to stay healthy and safe.
