The NYC Hospitality Alliance is happy to report that an Executive Order and the bill signed into law by Mayor de Blasio that we successfully advocated for extends all sidewalk cafe renewal deadlines and expirations.
Details: Sidewalk Cafe Renewal Extensions
By NYC Hospitality Alliance
Here are the details from the Department of Consumer Affairs:
A COVID-19 Relief Package (Intro. No. 1940A-2020) signed into law by the Mayor, extends the license, permit, consent or registration expiration dates and renewal application deadlines covered by Emergency Executive Orders (EEO) 107 and 110. In general, this suspends renewal requirements for licenses and consents from City agencies during the duration of the emergency (starting on March 12, 2020), and extends such suspension for an extra 45 days. Specifically, sidewalk cafe licenses and consents will not expire until 45 days after the EEO 110 expires, and sidewalk cafe license holders have an additional 59 days (totaling 104 days after the EEO 110 expires) to file applications to renew their licenses and consent agreements.
The NYC Hospitality Alliance thanks Mayor de Blasio, his Administration and the City Council for these actions to support our hospitality industry.
