We know that the federal government is in the position to provide the restaurant and nightlife industry the support necessary to help countless businesses survive. We support the Blueprint for Restaurant Revival proposed by the National Restaurant Association -- and their state partner the NYS Restaurant Association. The blueprint includes support for: (1) the RESTAURANTS ACT, which would provide grants via a $120 billion revitalization fund, this would pay for various expenses and is a priority of the Independent Restaurant Coalition; (2) a second installment of the Paycheck Protection Program; (3) addressing the issue of business interruption insurance claims; (4) providing liability protections and more policies that must be enacted into law.
