Takeout/Delivery of Alcohol Extended

By NYC Hospitality Alliance

We are happy to announce that Governor Cuomo has issued a new Executive Order that allows restaurants and bars to continue selling alcohol for takeout and delivery for at least another 30 days through September 4, 2020.

The NYC Hospitality Alliance has been advocating for the continuation of to-go alcohol as it provides much needed additional revenue for eating and drinking establishments.

We would also like to stress that all alcohol MUST be accompanied with a sale of a food item per specific requirements.
With this announcement, we do want to remind liquor licensed establishments to enforce compliance with open container and social distancing rules within 100 feet from their premise.
We will continue to work to have this policy modified in a sensible way that ensure public health and doesn't impose unnecessary burdens on small businesses.
