March 6, 2018

The Department of Labor has scheduled a public hearing in New York City to investigate eliminating the tip credit for the hospitality industry. Register immediately and reserve your spot to testify at the hearing.

If you want to help save the tip credit we urge you to testify in-person and explain how eliminating it would impact your business.

The public hearing is scheduled for:

When: Wednesday, June 27 @ 10:00 am

Where: Hostos Community College, 500 Grand Concourse, Bronx (easily accessible from the 2, 4, or 5 trains)

Although the hearing is not scheduled until June, we highly recommend you register to testify immediately and ensure you reserve your spot now.

IMPORTANT: Email us at info@theNYCalliance.org and let us know that you plan to testify or if you have any questions.

Testify to tell Governor Cuomo and the Department of Labor why eliminating the tip credit is a bad idea. Tell them how it will hurt your business and jobs. In-person testimony is limited to three minutes per person. We recommend you bring at least 10 printed copies of your pre-written testimony. Information on submitting your testimony electronically is forthcoming.

We also urge you to sign up for the SaveNYtips.org newsletter where you’ll learn more about the issue and ways to save the tip credit.
