Tezra Bryant, a server with more than two decades of experience throughout restaurants in New York City, wants to set the record straight regarding some advocates' call for elimination of the tip credit.

"If they think the tip credit makes certain workers more vulnerable to wage theft," she writes, "then they should advocate for stronger enforcement, not jeopardize a system that allows thousands of workers to earn between $20 -$25 an hour."
