Today the NYC Hospitality Alliance's Andrew Rigie spoke at a huge press conference, made up of restaurant operators and workers from Inwood and Washington Heights. The crowd called on Governor Cuomo to save the tip credit.
Tip Credit Rally in Inwood
By NYC Hospitality Alliance
The group, predominantly comprised of workers and owners from the Latino restaurant community, sent the same strong message that we've heard over and over again from their colleagues around the state of New York: the tip credit is essential to support small businesses and jobs and without it both of them are at risk.
We urge Governor Cuomo to stand in solidarity with restaurant owners and workers around the state and save the tip credit.
