Voluntarily Restaurant & Bar Shut Down Called

By NYC Hospitality Alliance

NYS Governor Cuomo called on restaurants and bars to voluntarily shutdown in response to COVID-19

The government will not mandate closures, but they will monitor this voluntary shutdown request and then consider next possible steps concerning required closures.

The NYC Hospitality Alliance requests that immediately, all third-party restaurant delivery platforms waive their fees, if they are able to do so and sustain operations, or limit them to no more than 10%. A 10% maximum third-party delivery platform fee should be enforced by the government. We will issue additional information as it becomes available.
