The New York City Hospitality Alliance recognizes how important it is to build coalitions to fight for our industry's future. That is why we continue to build working relationships to properly address specific needs and collaborate with industry groups like our work with the NY Japanese Restaurant Association.

We continue to work with the NYPD to ensure that guests and staff stay safe, while promoting a thriving nightlife community. In collaboration with the NYPD, we developed a handbook of best practices for nightlife establishments. We encourage all NYC nightlife establishments read and follow the guidelines included in the handbook.

The NYC Hospitality Alliance partnered with the MTA to welcome back 24/7 subway service for our industry’s employees, customers and all of NYC. We were proud to join celebrity chefs and local leaders as we encourage New Yorkers to #TakeTheTrain and #TakeTheBus

The NYC Hospitality Alliance partnered with David Rockwell’s Rockwell Group to help launch the non-profit called DineOut NYC. DineOut NYC is a pro bono program expanded to create outdoor dining spaces in neighborhoods most impacted by coronavirus shutdowns.

Coney Island Brewing Company is donating $1.00 from every can, draft, 6-packs or 12-packs of CIB products sold to the NYC Hospitality Alliance at participating restaurants/locations in the State of New York during the months of March through May of 2021. Coney Island Beer teamed up with The Alliance as a way to support our advocacy and also encourage customers to dine out and visit restaurants!

The NYC Hospitality Alliance partners with the Office of Nightlife on initiatives such as their Elevate Nightlife Mental Health Initiative. This new citywide initiative was launched by the NYC Office of Nightlife and the Mayor’s Office of Community Mental Health, in partnership with Backline and invites members of NYC’s nightlife community–including hospitality business owners, workers and performers–to join free weekly support groups to address trauma and stress in the nightlife industry, work one-on-one with a case manager to create a personalized mental health plan, and access additional free and affordable support and resources.

We stand in solidarity with the Deliveristas as the City Council passed sweeping legislation giving them justice and protections. The restaurant industry and third-party delivery workers must continue to fight together to ensure that billion dollar third-party delivery companies can no longer exploit our city’s small businesses and workers.
Mobile Vaccine Pop-Ups at NYC Restaurants
The NYC Hospitality Alliance is doing our part to protect the health and lives of restaurant and nightlife workers, customers and New Yorkers at large by facilitating Covid-19 vaccines. We’ve helped organize Restaurant Days of Action where restaurants hold vaccine pop-ups outside their establishments for their employees and people in the communities they serve. #GetVaxxedNYC
OutSmart NYC
We are a proud industry partner of OutSmartNYC, a coalition of nightlife industry staff, business owners, patrons, and rape crisis advocates organizing to prevent and end sexual violence in bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Their mission is to create safer spaces where everyone can have the best possible night out. For nightlife establishments, OutSmartNYC offers free violence prevention and bystander intervention trainings for staff, resources for managers and owners, and more.
