Breaking News: Congestion Pricing “Indefinitely Paused”

Citing economic and related concerns, Governor Hochul just announced that she directed the MTA to “indefinitely pause” the Congestion Pricing toll plan scheduled to take effect later this month on June 30th.  

The MTA's congestion pricing plan would have charged cars entering Manhattan below 60th Street a $15 toll once a day between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. on weekdays and between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. Trucks and buses could be charged between $24 to $36, depending on their size. Toll fees would have been reduce during overnight hours.
