Readers sound off on wage and tips
The NYC Hospitality Alliance is constantly fighting for our industry and setting the record straight. Recently, the lead legislative sponsors of the proposal to eliminate the tip credit published an op-ed in the Daily News.
In response, we submitted a Letter to the Editor, which has been published in the same paper. Eliminating the tip credit would cost restaurants approximately $12,000 more per year to employ each full-time tipped worker—severely harming businesses and jobs.
